Frequently asked questions
You asked. We answered.
If your question is not here, request a consultation and Nina can discuss it with you directly.
What can I expect in a first session?
The first conversation is a chance to discuss what brings you in, what you hope will change, and whether working together feels like a good fit. You can ask questions and share at your own pace.
How do I know which service is right for me?
You do not need to arrive with the right label. Choose the concern that feels closest when requesting a consultation, and Nina can discuss possible approaches with you.
What is the difference between CBT and ACT?
CBT often focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and actions. ACT emphasizes making room for difficult internal experiences while taking action guided by your values. An approach may draw from either based on your needs.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no universal number. The pace depends on your goals, circumstances, and progress. Expectations can be discussed together rather than assumed in advance.
Is what I share private?
Privacy and its legal or safety related limits should be reviewed before services begin. Ask Nina directly about the confidentiality practices that apply to your care.
Does submitting the form confirm an appointment?
No. It sends a consultation request. Nina will need to confirm availability, the requested date, service fit, and payment arrangements.
What are your rates?
Please contact Nina directly for current rates. She can answer pricing questions before you decide whether to move forward.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Therapy with Nina accepts cash, credit card, and Cash App. Your preferred method can be included with your consultation request.
What if I need urgent help?
This website and request form are not emergency services. If you may be in immediate danger, call 911. In the U.S., call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
